Full papers accepted for presentation at CMBEBIH 2025 will be published by Springer in the Conference Proceedings as a part of the IFMBE Proceedings Series, which is currently cited in bibliographic databases such as SCOPUS, SpringerLink, Google Scholar, EI Compendex, SCImago and Japanese Science and Technology Agency. To access previously published books of IFMBE Proceedings Series please see its official web site.
Note: Your files will be converted and re-formatted according to the Springer branded style. For this reason, it is no longer necessary for you to spend valuable time on putting the final touches to the manuscript. Nevertheless, please use the template and keep/follow the formatting contained therein to ensure timely production of the Proceedings book.
2. Each paper must be submitted with an abstract and keywords. Citations should be numbered.
3. Prepare the paper in one-column format.
4. Abstract title length must not exceed 200 characters (including spaces).
5. Add under the title the authors’ names, institution, city, country (no street or any other address part – neither a complete private address – should be added there, as this will show up on our webpage). See the Guidelines for Authors for more details.
6. Include affiliations and e-mail addresses of all authors (only the email address of the corresponding author is mandatory).
Note: Mark the corresponding author and his e-mail clearly. All communication concerning the paper will be sent to the corresponding author
Note: The e-mail addresses of all authors (if supplied) will be used by Springer to provide authors with a personal account where they can download a free copy of the eBook upon publication.
7. ORCID. Authors are encouraged to include their ORCID identifiers in superscripts next to their names (see also the Guidelines for Authors).
8. Abstract. Each chapter should begin with an abstract that summarizes its content in up to 250 words. The abstract will appear online at SpringerLink and will be available with unrestricted access to facilitate online searching and allow unregistered users to read the abstract as a teaser for the complete paper.
Note: Please make sure that the abstract in your paper matches the abstract that you will also be asked to enter during your paper submission (for enclosure in the Abstract Book together with the abstract-only submissions).
9. The recommended paper length is 6—10 pages, formatted according to the template, which amounts to approximately 2000—3500 words.
10. For authors working with Word: do not insert equations as graphic files. Please use the Math function of Word 2003 or 2007, MathType or Microsoft Equation Editor to create your equations.
11. Figures should be saved in JPG, TIFF or PNG format, with a minimum resolution of 800 dpi. Make sure that all elements of your figures are clear and legible.
Note: This will be relevant for sending your final revised version of the paper for production of the Proceedings book (after the reviewing) when the figures will also have to be uploaded as separate graphics files.
12. Declaration of conflicts of interest. Include a statement whether there are any conflicts of interest with your paper. If there are none, state that. This statement should be included in a separate section, after the Conclusions and before the Acknowledgements.
13. Avoid self-plagiarism and reference your own previously published work appropriately. As required by Springer, each paper will be checked using Springer’s plagiarism-checking tool iThenticate and may be rejected on these grounds alone.
14. Permissions for any material authors want to reuse from previous publications should be obtained from the corresponding publisher they want to reuse. Usually, authors can GET PERMISSION online by using RightsLink
http://www.copyright.com/publishers/rightslink-scientific/. In rare cases, they need to contact the publisher directly. Moreover, Springer is a STM signatory publisher. If authors wish to reuse materials published by another signatory publisher, they can check the corresponding guideline for permission at https://www.stm-assoc.org/intellectual-property/permissions/permissions-guidelines.
15. Springer self-archiving policy for non-open access book and chapters can be found at https://www.springernature.com/gp/open-research/policies/book-policies. If this book is NOT an open access one, please check the policies for self-archiving of books and chapters published via the subscription route. Archiving a pre-print on a recognized server, up to one chapter per volume from the same author, is allowed for proceedings.
17. Files to be uploaded when first submitting your paper*:
Original version of your manuscript (with figures embedded in the manuscript):
I. Word Template a single Word file;
II. LaTeX Package: a ZIP file containing all necessary files (LaTeX file with all associated style files, special fonts, eps files, Bbl files etc.).
PDF version of your paper (the same as your MS Word or LaTeX original). *Note: instructions for submitting the final (and revised according to the reviews) version of accepted papers for production of the Proceedings book together with the Copyright Form will be provided in due time.
Instructions for authors of short abstracts
Abstract title length must not exceed 200 characters (including spaces).*
The Body of abstract: the length must not exceed 3000 characters (including spaces) or 400 words, whichever is reached first.* Please do not include figures, tables, equations or references and refrain from using formatted text (bold, italic,…) in the abstract.
